Indian 2 gets a Bollywood star?

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s next venture, the Shankar directorial Indian 2, which is the sequel to their 1996 blockbuster Indian, had been in news for quite some time, and on January 18, the movie was launched and the shoot for the movie has begun, with expectations sky high on the project.

Indian 2 will have Ulaganayagan returning as Senapathy, a freedom fighter and a vigilante fighting corruption, and Kajal Aggarwal will play the female lead in the movie. Indian 2 will have Anirudh composing music for the first time for Shankar and Kamal, and Ravi Varman will handle the cinematography.

While it was earlier speculated that either Ajay Devgn or Shankar’s 2.0 antagonist Akshay Kumar might be roped in for a crucial role in Indian 2, the latest buzz is that the role might be bagged by Abhishek Bachchan. Earlier, there were speculations that Siddharth had replaced Simbu in the movie, and official confirmations are awaited from the team.
