Wing Commander Abhinandan's parents have started to Delhi, to receive the fighter pilot who is getting released after being held captive by the Pakistan army. He had been arrested on Wednesday by the Pakistan army, and is set to be released today.
After the pressure from many nations demanding the release of Abhinandan, Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan had yesterday made the announcement that IAF Wing commander Abhinandan will be released as a peace gesture. Following this, Abhinandan's parents have started to Delhi to receive him.
It has been said that Abhinandan, who is currently in Rawalpindi, will be brought to Lahore, and from there, with army protection, he will be taken to Wagah border and sent to India. Yesterday night, his parents Varthaman and Shobha had set out to Delhi, and their co-passengers in the flight had given a great welcome, saluting the brave parents. Abhinandan will be taken to IAF headquarters from Wagah, and from there, he will be sent to Delhi, where his parents will meet him.
