Karnataka pace bowler Abhimanyu Mithun has created history by becoming the first player in T20 cricket to take five wickets consecutively in one single over against Haryana in Surat in the Syed Ali Mushtaq Tournament semi-final match. The hosts put in to bat by Karnataka skipper Manish Pandey were well placed at 192 for 3 in 19 overs and Mukund came on to bowl the last over and rocked with the five wicket haul. The interesting aspect is that he did not take even a single one in his first three overs.

Abhimanyu Mithun is having a great season as only last month on his birthday he took a hattrick and then his maiden List A five-wicket haul against Tamil Nadu in the Vijay Hazare Trophy as well.

Abhimanyu Mukund is married to Rayane the daughter of Radhika Sarathkumar and the actress took to Twitter to share her delight over his awesome performance today.
