A comic turn for Akhil

The filming of Akhil Akkineni’s next with Awe fame Prasanth Varma may be three-four months away from now but a lot of groundwork is underway already. Having played the charming youngster till now, the suave actor will be going for a makeover of sorts for the untitled film as per the script diktat. The film is a village-based drama dotted with comedy all throughout. It will see Akhil playing a villager for the first time.  To ensure his central face sinks his teeth into the character, Prasanth wants to conduct a workshop of more than a month before the film rolls. Even other principal actors too will partake in the workshop as a majority of them will be playing roles which they have hitherto played. Akhil will also be asked to gain some weight to look the part.

For the film, which will be produced by Matinee Entertainment, Nivetha Thomas and Sai Pallavi are in consideration to be the film’s leading lady.
