In the history of cinemas we have had many films inspired by books. Screenplay dialogues of landmark films such as 'Autograph', 'Rythm', 'Hey Raam' and 'Kaadhal' among a few others have been released in book format after the release of the film. but it is one of the rare occasions to see a book entirely dedicated to a particular film that too in Tamil.
After a long time this has happened for the 2018 blockbuster romance '96'. The Prem Kumar directorial starred Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha in lead roles and it captured the love life of 1990s.
Now Bengaluru based Tamil writer C.Saravanakarthikeyan has written a book that includes a list of articles analyzing the film. The book has been titled as '96-Thanipperum Kadhal'. 'Thanipperum Kadhal' is also inspired by a famous line 'Thanipperum Thunaiya' in the chartbuster 'Kadhale Kadhale' song from the film.
The book has been published by Chennai based Uyirmai Padhippakam and it was released in Chennai on Saturday. Prem Kumar, the director of '96' was the chief guest of the book release function. Earlier, Actor Vijay Sethupathi released the invitation of the book release function in his official Twitter page.
