Vijay Sethupathi-Trisha’s mesmerizing love ballad – ’96’ teaser review

There is a saying that your true love is locked deep inside your memories and the just landed trailer of ’96’ seems to explore this theme.  The opening seems to be a sort of a school reunion after many years and old flames Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha meet up reminiscing their past love.  Director Premkumar being basically a cinematographer has aesthetically framed the trailer shots cut to the euphoric melody “Peranbe Kadhal”.

What a delightful casting coup it is having the fluid Vijay Sethupthi opposite the ethereal beauty Trisha.

Just replay the shot where Vijay Sethupathi swoons when Trisha touches him or freeze any frame of Trish and you can realize that this is gonna be one memorable love story spanning decades.
