’30 weds 21′ Season 2: Episode 1 hits home with comedy

The first episode of the second season of ’30 weds 21′, the YouTube web series, started streaming on February 14. Starring Chaitanya Rao and Ananya, the season is about how the duo comes of age. 

At about 32 minutes (sans credits), the episode is about what transpires in the run up to the first wedding anniversary of the titular characters. In a long episode, the lead pair and their friends get stuck inside a supermarket because of a weird Covid-19 policy followed by its manager. There, Prudhvi and Meghana, the couple, end up casually taking a stock of their married life. Meghana takes a decision that Prudhvi finds a bit amusing. 

More than situational humour, banter, bonhomie and quirky comedy define the episode. 

Jose Jimmy’s music, the dialogue, and the cinematography (by Prathyaksh Raju) are impressive. Produced by the Anurag-Sharath duo, the web series has been directed by Prithvi Vanam. Written by Manoj P, Mahendar, Divya, Veerabhadram and Sri Kumari have also acted in the web series.
