Zookeeper dies of snake bite while cleaning cage

In a shocking incident, an employee of Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram zoo had a horrific death after a King Cobra bit him. The victim identified as Harshad (45), was bitten by the reptile while cleaning its enclosure Thursday afternoon. Reportedly, the animal keeper moved the snake to a smaller enclosure while cleaning the main one. After he noticed the smaller cage also to be dirty, he proceeded to clean it without shifting back the snake. Soon, he was bit by the snake. Though he was slightly conscious while he was rushed to the hospital, Harshad was declared dead on arrival.

Harshad has been working at the zoo for the past four years. He used to take care of the deadly reptiles which he has dutifully been discharging, including taking care of the seven green anaconda
