Tamil cinema of late has seen many small films making a huge mark with the audiences as well as the box office while the so-called big budgeted but content less ones biting the dust.  One such upcoming film 'Zhagaram' directed by newcomer Krish is sure to strike you as impressive considering that it has been made at a throwaway budget of just rupees ten lakhs.  That is the cost of a short film with stars and yet the team has believed in itself to make the impossible a reality.

'Zhagaram' is based on the novel "Project AK" written by Kava Kamz and stars Nandha and Eden Kuriakose as the lead pair.  Its an adventure film with a treasure hunt as it core subject filled with suspense and action in equal measure.  The sneak peek that has just been released has the first seven minutes of the film which is packed with stunning visuals aided by great camera work (Joe, Prince Das and Bharadwaj) editing Venkat Lakshmanan, the art director  Sajeevan A.M and the entire VFX and animation team.  

'Zhagaram' hits the screens on April 12th and could be the dark horse in the Tamil New Years day releases as it has the look of a big budget film yet made at a paltry rupees ten lakhs.
