ZEE5’s ‘Gaalivaana’: Teaser creates interest in family-based crime drama

The teaser for ‘Gaalivaana’ lives up to the title. This ZEE5 original, produced by BBC and NorthStar Entertainment, is set in the backdrop of tumultuous weather, at least for a part of it. The teaser shows that a young couple has been killed in cold blood. A whole family is shaken and stirred. 

“The cyclonic storm is going to make a landfall,” says a voice on the radio, suggesting something ominous is befalling. The night-effect shots play out even as the situation turns gloomier. 

Starring Radhika Sarathkumar and versatile actor Sai Kumar in central roles, the drama also features Chandini Chowdary, Nandini Rai, Chaitanya Krishna, Thagubothu Ramesh, Jyothi Pradeep, and Ashritha Vemuganti. Directed by Sharan Koppisetty of ‘Thimmarasu’ fame, the series has cinematography by Sujatha Siddhartha. 

For the looks of it, the series has got a solid screenplay. The family emotions, the suspense, the mild gore… everything shows that ZEE5 and the team of ‘Gaalivaana’ are offering a complete package.
