It is festive time of Sankranthi – Pongal and television channels are celebrating in different ways. Zee has come up with ‘Sankrathi Sambrama’ special program with farmers in mind. At Mangala village in Mandya district on Januay 11 it has conducted a program with the popular television soap serials like Jodi Hakki, Subbulakshmi Samsara, yaare nee Mohini, Vidya Vinayaka, Nagini and Brahmagantu team and reality show teams such as Sarigamapa, Comedy Kiladigalu and Dance Karnataka Dance.

Basavatti and Nayana of ‘Comedy Kiladigalu’ fame are anchors of this show. The ‘Sankranthi cow festival’ for farmer’s families is on January 14.

There will be contest for farmers families such as decoration of houses and cows. The farmer in this case should bring cows of his house. The farmers from Haasana, Chamaraja Nagara, Shivamogga and Tumakuru take part in this cow decoration competition.

The Cow decoration festival is at the backdrop of villages. The rural culture, tradition and nature are part of this event.

The program is telecast on January 14 at 5 pm in Zee Kannada.
