IG had earlier reported that a leading television channel has bagged Silambarasan aka Simbu’s gangster flick ‘Vettai Mannan’s satellite rights for a whooping price. Now we have more on this front. Zee TV has bagged the satellite rights of this multi-starrer for 6 crore rupees!

This is the highest sum for a Simbu starrer. Not just this, Zee TV that has in the past snapped the satellite rights of blockbusters like ‘Subramaniapuram’ is aiming it big in the south small screens and are eyeing a number of promising projects in Tamil cinema.

It may be mentioned they are currently one of the market leaders in the Tamil screens after media giant Sun TV and Vijay TV.

‘Vettai Mannan’ is a high voltage action entertainer that brings back to us the combination of Simbu and VTV Ganesh who are currently shooting in Binny Mills along with Jai. Hansika will join the shoot in a couple of days and she will be seen as a gangster chick in this film where Simbu woos Deeksha Seth.

The film is helmed by reality show specialist Nelson and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja who has delivered several chartbusters with Simbu through the years.
