While people are eagerly waiting to see the new version of ‘Zanjeer’, here’s an exciting update from the movie’s front..

The remake of the classic Amitabh Bachchan starrer that is being directed by Apoorva Lakhia, will not be entirely following the original story. According to sources the remake will have a new character added to the story, bringing different flavour from the earlier film. Buzz is that Atul Kulkarni has been brought on board for ‘Zanjeer’ remake.

Confirming his addition to the film’s team, the ‘Rang De Basanti’ famed actor stated in an interview, 'The role that I play is completely new and original. It was not there in the 1973 film... However he didn’t share more details but only revealed that the director has written a very good role for him.

The new ‘Zanjeer’ has Ram Charan Teja reprising the lead role, Priyanka Chopra as his lady love while Sanjay Dutt plays the iconic Sher Khan, played by Pran in original.
