On April 2, a special magistrate court in Hyderabad said that Dr. Mohan Babu should pay Rs 40 lakh to director YVS Chowdhary as remuneration for directing 'Salim' (2009). The court also sentenced Mohan Babu to a jail term of one year. After the verdict, the senior actor immediately appealed for bail. He has since claimed that he had long cleared the dues related to 'Salim'.
Today, YVS has issued a statement sharing his side of the story and revealing more. "I am deeply hurt that Mohan Babu is claiming that I had misled the court. Nothing is farther from the truth," the director said.
YVS alleged that Mohan Babu is preventing him and his relatives from accessing a piece of land owned by him in Jupally. "This property abuts a house owned by Mohan Babu. I am appalled that he is not letting us access our property, which I had bought with my hard-earned money," YVS noted in the statement.
"I have consulted lawyers to settle the issue with Mohan Babu once and for all. I have slapped a legal notice on him," YVS said.
