Yuvan Shanker Raja remembered his father scoring in Geetha' Kannada film and rendered the lines Jotheyali Jothe Jotheyali….it is happy and emotional moment for me. My father commenced his career under music director G K Venkatesh and after so many years I am coming to this land to score music.

Asked on what best suggestion he has got from his maestro father, Yuvan said he does not tell anything. One point he makes it is do not permit the words in the lyrics that give wrong meaning. I follow this instruction because the songs after composition are sung in nooks and corner. It passes negative vibration and for that composer should not be responsible he advices. Yuvan Shanker Raja with nearly 20 films in Tamil and Telugu languages says he banks on melody in his films like his father the genius of film music. For his first remake with original songs for the film Gowdru Hotel', he is preparing five fresh tunes and a bit song. The recording he has planned to do in Bengaluru. He composes the songs with different instruments and finally fixes it for arrangement. One of the songs of famous lyricist Kaviraj has been decided so far.

Yuvan uses his mobile and laptop gadgets sometime to compose tunes. He records as and when he is blessed with a tune in his mind. I want to grow like how my father working in many languages. For music language is not a barrier.

Yuvan Shanker Raja is making debut in 2017 but some of his Tamil film scorings are known in in Kannada his films such as 7 G rainbow colony as Gilli, Manmadan as Madana, Yaradi Nee Mohini as Antu Inthu Priti Banthu, Paiyya as Ajith, Pathinaru as Jolly boy had portions of his compositions.
