The legendary Tamil music composer Ilayaraja is recently making the headlines often following his controversial speech in which he stated that our prime minister Narendra Modi is reminding him of Dr Ambedkar. Now, the netizens are speculating that his younger son Yuvan's social media post is an indirect reply to Ilayaraja's statement.

Earlier this month, the Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah said that Hindi should be the connecting language of our country. Following his statement, many Tamil celebrities including Isai Puyal AR Rahman responded that Tamil will be the connecting language for the Tamils. Meanwhile, some netizens dug up an old interview of Isai Gnani Ilayaraja in which he said that Hindi is the apt language to compose music more than Tamil. He added that Hindi has more variations and aesthetic sense.

This old video clip of Ilayaraja's interview became viral all of a sudden. Today, Ilayaraja's son Yuvan Shankar Raja has posted something on Instagram which ignited the buzz that he is replying to Ilayaraja's statement about Hindi being the better language. Yuvan shared a photo of himself in a black t-shirt and lungi with the caption, "Dark Dravidian • Proud Tamizhan •" (sic). Netizens are decoding that the young maestro is indicating the power of Tamil to maestro Ilayaraja.

Yuvan's post is spreading like a wildfire on social media. It is notable that Ilayaraja and Yuvan jointly composed music for Vijay Sethupathi's 'Maamanithan' in recent times. On the work front, Yuvan Shankar Raja has more than a dozen upcoming films in his pipeline.
