Director SJ Suryah is now a full fledged actor, and has been acting in some interesting movies in this second innings of his film career. SJ Suryah was last seen on screen in 2019 in the comedy drama Monster and is next acting in Bommai by director Radha Mohan.

Bommai is set to complete and was supposed to release in summer but was pushed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Bommai has got its title from the 1964 movie of the same name by S Balachander. SJ Suryah's Bommai stars Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead and has Yuvan Shankar Raja's music and Richard M Nathan's cinematography.

SJ Suryah now posted an update on Bommai and has praised Yuvan Shankar Raja for his background score. SJ Suryah tweeted "The king of back ground score, young maestro @thisisysr sir finished the BGM of “BOMMAI” .
