Yuvan Shankar Raja’s biopic on cards? – Young director reveals

We all know that a biopic on Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja is already under making in Kollywood. Titled ‘Ilaiyaraaja’, the film is set to star Dhanush in the titular role and Arun Matheswaran as the director. The highly anticipated project was announced with a conceptual poster a few weeks ago. Now, the latest buzz is that Yuvan Shankar Raja might get a biopic.

Yuvan Shankar Raja, the youngest son of Ilaiyaraaja, is a phenomenal music composer in Tamil cinema. He has been a ‘Rockstar’ since the early 2000s. One of Yuvan’s upcoming films includes ‘Star’ starring Kavin and directed by Elan. This movie marks the reunion of Yuvan and Elan after the chartbuster ‘Pyaar Prema Kaadhal’. The songs of ‘Star’ are a huge hit among the fans and audiences already.

Director Elan hinted at a possible Yuvan biopic in his recent interview as part of the ‘Star’ promotions. He stated that he has narrated a one-line idea about the biopic to Yuvan, which the composer liked. He added that the project will materialize soon if everything goes well. This news is now doing rounds on the internet. ‘Star’ is all set to hit the screens worldwide this Friday (May 10).
