Yuvan and Selva share stage

In a rare display of camaraderie, music composer Yuvan and Selva Raghavan, who had parted ways following ‘Pudhupettai’, were together sharing the stage during the audio launch of ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ (AO). Though GV Prakash Kumar replaced Yuvan who was originally signed up for ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’, the composer was found sitting patiently through the event.

Selva Raghavan and Yuvan Shankar Raja, along with lyricist Na Muhukumar and cinematographer Arvind Krishna, were a formidable four, as they got together for blockbusters, like ‘Pudhupettai’, ‘Kadhal Kondein’ and ‘7/G Rainbow Colony’. The entire team split after differences in opinion with Yuvan, Selva and Arvind.

‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ has Selva working with a fresh team, that includes Vairamuthu, GV Prakash and cinematographer Ramji of ‘Paruthiveeran’ fame. When Yuvan and Selva split ways, it was rumoured that it was owing to money differences between the two, though it was never revealed by the duo themselves. But they had clearly stated that they had creative differences and wouldn’t be working together again.

At this juncture, Selva’s good nature in inviting Yuvan, and Yuvan’s magnanimity in sitting through the entire evening, has brought in speculations of a renewed relationship between them. Hope that leads to another blockbuster from the two.
