The Board of Control for Cricket in India has asked the state of Baroda to not select Yusuf Pathan as the cricketer failed a dope test during a tournament last year. Yusuf was tested positive for a banned substance called Terbutaline.

Reportedly, Yusuf nor the team doctor  did not take prior permission before using the substance which otherwise is permissible for a player to use. Pathan who is currently serving a five month suspension will be relieved of the same coming January 14.

It is also worth mentioning here that Yusuf is teh second Indian player to face this only followed by Delhi’s Pradeep Sangwan who was slammed with a 18 month ban after he failed the dope test during 2012 IPL.
