'Yatra', the YS Rajasekhar Reddy biopic directed by Mahi V Raghav, will star Mammootty in the role of the late CM. Posani Krishna Murali will also be seen in an interesting role in the movie.
The news is that the director has zeroed in on the actor who will play Manmohan Singh. It's Anupam Kher, the Bollywood actor, who is essaying the former PM in another movie - the Hindi-language biopic 'The Accidental Prime Minister'. Only recently did we see how Anupam looks like in the avatar of Manmohan. It seems Mahi was convinced to rope him in on seeing the still of the Hindi film.
The film will go on the floors on April 9. "Never thought his journey (YSR 'praja prasthanam' April 9, 2003) and my story would meet 15 years on. I am grateful and honoured to YSR and his story to have found me as voice," says the director about the coincidence.
