YSR biopic 'Yatra' to have longest schedule

'Yatra', the biopic of late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, is being made as a "tribute to the unrelenting and undying spirit" of the late Chief Minister of the united Andhra Pradesh. Mollywood superstar Mammootty is playing YSR.
The news is that the biopic will be shot in a long schedule starting from June 20. The marathon schedule will come to an end only in September. "This must be the longest-ever schedule in the history of Telugu cinema," the makers say.
70mm Entertainments of 'Bhale Manchi Roju' and 'Anando Brahma' fame is bankrolling the project. Producers Vijay Chilla and Sashidevi Reddy say, "Mammootty garu is getting into the body language of YSR. The first look was released recently and it got a great response across the two Telugu States."
Director Mahi V Raghav says, "Dr. YSR undertook a grueling 60-day, 1500 kilometer 'pada yatra' in the unrelenting summer heat of 2003 to comprehend the day to day struggles of people." The film, set to hit the screens the coming Sankranthi (most probably), will capture the emotions associated with this phenomenal 'yatra'.
