YouTube has banned the depiction of “dangerous challenges and harmful pranks”. The creators of videos can't do them any longer. It's reported that the company has taken the decision after a challenge involving driving blindfolded went viral recently. Known as the famous Bird Box challenge, it has inspired many across the world to upload similar videos, thereby risking their lives.

“Our policies prohibiting harmful and dangerous content also extend to pranks with a perceived danger of serious physical injury,” the company added in an official statement.

The world-famous videos site has hosted a number of viral challenges and pranks since many years. With the likes of Jimmy Kimmel's 'Terrible Christmas Presents' prank going viral, YouTube has taken the decision to ban all deleterious videos.
