A 24-year-old youngster got arrested by the Mumbai Police after a video of him performing a dangerous bike stunt with two girls went viral on social media. The video shows the man performing a wheelie with one woman seated in front of him and another on the pillion. The man lifts the front wheels off the road and rides for several meters. The video showcases the passengers' apparent thrill and excitement during the stunt, with the woman in front even waving, smiling, and making gang signs mid-stunt, despite not wearing helmets.
The accused was arrested following a tip-off under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) and sections of the Motor Vehicles Act. According to the police, the accused is a history-sheeter with cases registered against him at Antop Hill and Wadala TT police stations. Hence, the police had suspended his driving license. Further investigation is ongoing.
A case has been registered with BKC Police Station. Investigation into identifying the accused is underway.
