Hours after he pleaded to his Facebook followers to arrange for an oxygen bed, popular actor-YouTuber Rahul Vohra passed away due to COVID-19 complications. On Saturday noon, Vohra in a Facebook post had tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and desperately asked for better treatment. The day after, the 35-year-old sensation breathed his last.
Theatre director-playwright Arvind Gaur confirmed Rahul's demise on Facebook. “Rahul Vohra is gone, my talented actor is no more. It was only yesterday that he told me his life could have been saved if he got a better treatment. He was shifted to Ayushman, Dwarka last evening but we could not save him. Please forgive us, we are all your culprits. My last respects,” he wrote.
It was on May 4, Rahul, who tested positive for the virus, took to his Facebook handle to request oxygen beds. “Is there any hospital, where oxygen beds are available? My oxygen levels are decreasing gradually. There is none to look after me? I am posting this in a very helpless state. My family members are unable to handle the situation,” he wrote.
On Saturday, a day prior to his death, Rahul Vohra wrote his last message. “If I had received proper treatment, then, I possibly would have survived.” For the last time, he had shared his name, age, hospital name, bed, and floor number in hopes of a last-minute miracle. “I will be reborn again and do great work. I have lost all courage now,” he had concluded his message. After learning about his untimely demise, several fans and fellow YouTubers took to social media to pay tribute to the late Youtuber.
