Young hero has a negative role in Baadshah

  • IndiaGlitz, [Saturday,August 25 2012]

One of the best-kept secrets (till the other day) about Baadshah is that Navdeep is playing an anti-villain in the movie. To be sure, he is only one of the villains and not the only villain. (When it is NTR, there cannot be less than two villains. Added to this is Sreenu Vytla, who used many negative characters to raise Mahesh's stature in Dookudu).

For Navdeep, this role comes as a God-send. Such a role in a film directed by an ordinary director could be very risky. Now that he is in the safe hands of Vytla, it is, thus, a safe bet for him.

Navdeep has films like Bangaru Kodipetta, Mythri, Poga and Vasool Raja in his kitty.

The movie is currently being shot in Bangkok. Slated to be released for Sankranthi, Baadshah's marathon 42-days schedule in that country, to be wrapped up by the end of September, is the most important one.

Karunanidhi's grandson's film OK OK on Aug 31

The reason why Bellamkonda Suresh is a happy man is simple. OKOK (Oru Kal Oru Kannadi in Tamil) did a roaring business of Rs. 40 cr in Tamil. This gives him confidence, despite the fact that almost all the films dubbed from Tamil this year have failed at the Telugu BO. Suresh’s last release, Sakuni (Saguni), did not do encouraging business.
