A twenty-three-year-old girl Nithya has died tragically due to a doctor injecting her the wrong way has caused furore in the Anakaputhur area in Chennai. Nithya had apparently complained of cough and fever and she was taken to a hospital in Anakaputhur. The doctor there had injected her intravenously and she had felt uneasy and was about to faint and told the doctor regarding the reaction.
The doctor had then once again injected her with another medicine and after Nithya had become still and the parents Siva and Arputhamary were asked to take the patient to a bigger hospital. When taken elsewhere the doctors had instructed them to go to the government hospital. At the Chromepet GH the doctors delivered the shocking news that Nithya had passed away. It is said that the doctor at the Anakaputhur hospital had wrongly injected medicine through the nerves while it should have been done on the muscle and thats what had caused her death. Demands are made to arrest the doctor who has erred according to the relatives of the girl who had just finished college and was trying to get a job to support her economically backward family.
