The journey of Indian team in ICC Women's World Cup came to halt after the Mitali Raj led side lost their do or die match against South Africa on Sunday at Hagley Oval. Although they did not win the cup, Mitali's squad certainly didn't fail to capture the hearts of their countrymen. Several fans and celebs took to social media after the match in order to show their support and cheer the team up.
Actress Anushka Sharma also took to Instagram to share few words of support for the women in blue. She shared a story that read, The result did not go our way and was heartbreaking but what an exciting, enthralling match you fought right till the end girls.

On the work front, Anushka is currently working on her film 'Chakda Express' which is a biopic on Jhulan Goswami, an important member of Indian Women's Cricket Team. On the other hand, actress Taapsee is also gearing up for the release of 'Shabas Mithu', a biopic on Mitali Raj, one of the most successful women cricketer of all time.
