You tend to get stereotyped - Amrita Puri from 'Aisha' to 'Blood Money'

Petite Amrita Puri would be seen again on the big screen soon. After playing the loveable 'behenji' in Sonam Kapoor's 'Aisha', she had pretty much disappeared from the silver screen. However she is now making a comeback of sorts with 'Blood Money' and that too in a role that allows her to graduate from a supporting actress to the leading lady. Not just that as she also gets an opportunity to shed her 'behenji' tag (as seen in 'Aisha') and appear as a girl who is more contemporary and urban.
You know, I had to work really hard to break people perceptions after 'Aisha', says Amrita, I decided to wait a while instead of continuing with what I had been appreciated for. In this industry you get stereotyped very soon and you get immediately slotted. I too risked the same post 'Aisha' as many filmmakers came to me with the proposal of playing a 'behenji' again. Sorry, but I didn't want to do something all over again where I had to be clad into a 'salwar kameez' for most of the film's duration. I decided to wait and that worked since 'Blood Money' has me in an altogether different characterisation.
Well, we look forward to catching that once 'Blood Money' (with Kunal Khemu in the lead) releases all over on 30th March.
