Yogi turns emotional over his sister running a tea stall

Yogi Adityanath may be the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, but his sister runs a small tea stall somewhere in Uttarakhand. She is said to walk several kilometers every day to run her business.

In his latest interview, the UP CM turned emotional when asked why he doesn’t look after his family despite his being a CM. Speaking to India TV, this is what the BJP leader said. “As Chief Minister, I have taken the oath of ‘Rashtradharma’…not for family.” He suggested that he is a Yogi who doesn’t have attachments.

The video is going viral. Yogi has been a Sanyasi for decades.

In 2018, Yogi’s father reportedly took his two granddaughters to register their names in a job fair organised by Uttarakhand Government. “They stood in the queue like commoners and dint let anyone know whose family they belong to before a journalist spotted them,” wrote @indiantweeter.
