The Tamil cinema workers and supporting actors are also among those affected badly by the state lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic which has pushed them into hunger and poverty. Many top celebrities including Rajini, Ajith, Suriya, Kamal, Vijay Sethupathi and Sivakarthikeyan have contributed in the relief measures undertaken by FEFSI head R.K. Selvamani.

Comedy hero Yogi Babu has personally distributed 1250 bags of rice to underprivileged actors and actresses as part of his donation to his colleagues. Actor Ganeshkar too is seen helping out Yogi Babu in his mission which should come as a great relief for especially the old aged among the members.

It may be recalled that Yogi Babu had planned his wedding reception today April 9th and had even personally invited the chief minister of Tamil Nadu among other celebrities. But since the coronavirus pandemic forced him to cancel it he has chosen to help the needy today.
