The Uttar Pradesh government headed by Yogi Adityanath has spent a huge amount which is termed as the highest in the history of the state, for the Kumbh Mela festival. The Kumbh Mela which is one of the biggest festivals celebrated in the state, began on Tuesday, in a grand manner.
13 crores Hindu priests are expected to participate in the Kumbh Mela festival. The event which began on Tuesday will extend for 55 days, and will conclude on March 4.Priests and saints celebrated and worshiped Gods at the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers, and with the presence of Aghoris and prominent religious leaders across the state, heavy security has been maintained.
In a shocking revelation, it has been said that the UP government headed by Chief minister Yogi Adityanath has allocated a whopping 4200 crores budget for the event, and the CM had been saying since months that this event must be the biggest in the history of the state. Besides UP govt, several private organisations and industries are also said to be contributing for Kumbh Mela, and speculations are that the Modi lead central government will also contribute 1000 crores for the festival. The previous highest expenditure for Kumbh Mela was 1300 crores by Samajwadi party which conducted the event in 1600 acres, and this time, the event is conducted at 3600 acres area.
