The season of remake is going on and strong. And as they say talent has no boundaries; yet another ace filmmaker from south is making way into the B-town.

According to sources, director Raja is said to be making his directorial debut in Hindi by remaking Tamil film ‘Ramana’.

While Akshay Kumar will play the lead, we have more interesting details about the project... Akki recently delivered the blockbuster 'Rowdy Rathore', in the company of Prabhu Deva, who too is from Kollywood. Well, now he is expected to team up with Raja!

'Ramana' starring Vijayakanth in the role of a college professor was helmed by A R Murugadoss, who is now a hot property in Bollywood. It was later remade in Telugu with Chiranjeevi in the lead.

Earlier speculations were rife that the Hindi remake will be done by Murugadoss himself, produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and feature Shahrukh Khan in lead.
