Yesudas’s younger brother dies, suicide suspected

KJ Justin, a younger brother of legendary playback singer KJ Yesudas, is suspected by police to have committed suicide.  Aged 62, he was found dead in the backwaters in Vallarpadam in Kochi yesterday.

As per media reports, the deceased man was depressed ever since the demise of his son last year.  Besides, he was facing financial troubles.  As a result, he is suspected to have taken the extreme step of ending his life.

At the time of writing this piece, his post-mortem report was yet to be released.

The police started searching for Justin after his family members filed a missing complaint on Wednesday morning.  By then, a local police station had received the information that a dead body was seen floating in the backwaters.

Yesudas is currently in Chennai and is expected to be there in Kerala for the final rites of his brother.  Justin is survived by his wife.
