Popular yesteryear actress Nanjil Nalini had passed away yesterday. She was aged 74 and had been getting treated for her health issues, before breathing her last in Velachery, Chennai, yesterday. Starting her career as a theater artist, she began her film career with Sivaji Ganesan's Engal oor Raja.

Nanjil Nalini has acted in many popular movies like Annan Oru Kovil, Thanga Pathakkam, Theerpu and has been a part of more than 85 movies. Besides films, she was also a part of many plays and had been acting in mother roles as well. She has been appreciated for performances in movies like Aadupuli Aattam, Dharma Yutham etc.

Nanjil Nalini has 60 years of experience in the film industry, and the Tamil Nadu government has conferred the Kalaimamani award for her contribution to films. The Tamil film industry is mourning her death, and many actors and actresses have expressed their condolences.
