For the past two days, the southern districts in Kerala have been experiencing heavy rains and strong winds providing the much-needed respite from the scorching sun.
As the rains continue to lash in many areas, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced a yellow alert in 4 districts - Palakkad, Malappuram, Wayanad, and Kozhikode districts. Reportedly, the listed districts will experience isolated heavy rains and hence the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has refrained fisherfolk from venturing into the sea until April 8.
