Ye Maaya.. brings Geethanjali memories to Nag

  • IndiaGlitz, [Thursday,February 25 2010]

A day before the release of Nag Chaitanya-starrer Yemaya Chesave, Nagarjuna has unwittingly raised the expectations of the audience, who are all the very eager to watch the love story, by saying that the film brought him the memories of his Geethanjali, when he watched it on Tuesday. By comparing Yemaya.. with a masterpiece like the Mani Ratnam-directed film, Nag is scouting for his son's film in a cool style.

However, the Kedi-star clarifies that he is not saying it just because his son is the lead in it, but from the perspective of the film. Just as Geethanjali was an all-round effort, the new film is also the effort of every one, he says. Nag feels that Chaitu, as he calls his son, is lucky enough to act in a film that is on the standards of Geethanjali, even with his second outing.

Further showering praises on the film's director (Gautham Menon), Nag says that he is someone who puts the story on the celluloid with a remarkable sensitivity. Some lines in the film will haunt you, he means.

Be it in dialogue-delivery, acting or dance, Chaitanya has improved a lot, since Josh, according to his superstar father. Unlike Geethanjali, which was a bit slow-paced, Ye Maaya.. will be full of beans, Nag promises.

After hearing an experienced star say this, can you wait to watch Ye Maaya Chesave?
