Industrialist, film producer and YSR Congress party leader Prasad V Potluri was on Wednesday night taken into custody by the Banjara Hills police after a resident of the area in Hyderabad complained that PVP had threatened him.
The neighbour by name Kailesh Vikram said in his complaint that PVP had sent his men to "issue a threat over the construction of a rooftop garden" at his house on Road No. 14. PVP is alleged to have asked Vikram to suspend the construction. When he didn't comply, the 'Maharshi' producer allegedly sent men.
Cases have been filed for criminal trespass, intimidation and other offences under the IPC.
He was recently in the news for being part of a film industry delegation to hold talks with AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
