'Yatra', the awaited biopic on YS Rajasekhar Reddy, is being directed by Mahi V Raghav.

The news is that the film will head to theatres on December 21. This is the birthday of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the YSRCP founder and son of the late united AP CM.

The film will tell the story of YSR's 2003 Pada Yatra which catapulted the Congress to power in the state. It was a 1475 km yatra on foot!

As is known, Mollywood superstar Mammootty is playing YSR in this expensive film. Rao Ramesh, Jagapathi Babu, Suhasini, Posani Krishna Murali and Anasuya will be seen in key roles. Suchin Kadekar, Vinodh Kumar, Jeeva, and comedian Prudvi will also be seen.

With music by K, this one is presented by Shiva Meka. Cinematography is by Sathyan Sooryan, editing is by Sreekar Prasad, and Production Design is by Ramakrishna and Monica Sabbani. Choreography is by Brinda. Sound Design is by Sync Cinema and VFX is by Knack Studios.

Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy are producing it on 70mm Entertainments.
