'Yashoda' Trailer: Dread, moody thrills dominate this survival thriller

The trailer for 'Yashoda' begins with a sentimental line about motherhood. "Have you ever heard two hearts beating within you? Only a mother carrying her baby can hear it?" says Samantha Ruth Prabhu's character. On cue, a Mani Sharma-composed lullaby follows. The breezy start soon gives way to thrills and a sense of constant threat.
Samantha's character is introduced as a surrogate mother who is pregnant with the child of a billionaire. At Eva, a dodgy fertility and surrogacy centre headed by Varalaxmi Sarathkumar's character, the female protagonist is going to slip into danger. Because, Eva is a dark place where she and many other women have been trapped.
Unni Mukundan (a doctor who has got a seemingly positive role), Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj (seen in a suspiciously mean role), Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada (as the female protagonist's fellow inmate in the fertility centre), Priyanka Sharma and others are part of the cast.
Producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad of Sridevi Movies ensures top-notch production values.
Directed by Hareesh Narayan and Hari Shankar, the film will hit the screens in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam on November 11.
