Actress Yashika met with an accident near Mamallapuram while returning from Pondicherry after attending a get-together party with her friends. Her friend ValliSetty Pavani lost her life on the spot and Yashika and others were severely injured.

Yashika's sister took to her Instagram and updated about her health a few days back. Yashika was admitted to a private hospital in the intensive care unit and underwent surgery as a result of multiple fractures. Now the latest update about her health is that she underwent yet another surgery and was shifted to the normal ward.

She also gained consciousness after this major surgery.  The police have filed a case against Yashika under two sections of IPC - Section 279 (rash driving or driving on a public way) and Section 304A (causing death by negligence) - and are investigating the accident.

On the professional front, Yashika Anand has a series of lineups in Tamil. Meanwhile, the makers of her few films have planned to find a replacement for the actress as she needs more time for her recovery.
