Even before it could hit the screens in Tamil, attempts are apparently on to remake Simbu's 'Vaalu' in Kannada. If sources are to be believed, Sandalwood star Yash would play the lead in the remake.

"Yash came to know about the storyline of 'Vaalu' and he was thoroughly impressed by it. He might start shooting for its Kannada version soon," sources in Bengaluru said.

Meanwhile, 'Vaalu' is expected to see the light of the day in March. "The shoot is almost over and some post-production works are pending. They would be completed very soon," Kollywood sources said.
