Model-turned-actress Yami Gautam, who did 'Nuvvila' and 'Courier Boy Kalyan' in Telugu, has been presented with the Indian Chamber of Commerce women's achievement award. She has said that it's a matter of pride for her as she has no godfather.

"I had the privilege to understand how challenging it is to make it in our respective fields. And this award does give me a sense of pride for making it on my own as I do not have a godfather here and I am not from Mumbai."

The 'Sarkar-3' actress also said that she has just begun her acting career and has a long way to go.

Starting her career as a model, Yami has come a long way and is thankful to her mother for all the support and encouragement.

"I would like to thank the wonder women in my life who is my mother. I am really proud to be from where I am and that is because of my mother. In true sense she taught me the power of belief and to believe in myself," she said.
