Actress Yami Gautam has been pushing her comfort zone by taking up off beat and challanging roles lately. She was last seen in the thriller flick 'A Thursday' and her comedy flick 'Dasvi' has just released today. In a recent media interaction, Yami shared that she had a great time playing a character which was so alien to her and she's excited to know how audience respond to it.

According to a recent report in ETimes, Yami stated, “I had a lot of fun playing a Haryanvi cop in the film and I’m ecstatic about the initial response to my performance. My family, my team, and some friends, who are always honest about their opinions with me watched it a few days ago and I’m glad they strongly connected to my character throughout the film. Now I’m excited to hear what the audiences have to say about it. I’ve attempted something very different and as an actor, I get my adrenaline rush from doing that."

Apart from Yami, 'Dasvi' also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur and it follows the story of a politician who aspires to complete his secondary school education while being convicted for a scam.
