Yamadonga
There are some partnerships inlife that linger and provide magical moments. The NTR-S S Rajamoulicombination belongs to the category. It was Rajamouli who gave NTR theright break through the massy potboiler Student No 1. It showcased allthe skills of NTR in easy elegance. Then a couple of years later, it wasSimhadri. This proved to be another milestone in NTR's career as heslowly made the shift from being a bankable actor to being a commercial star.
So at a time when NTR is looking for biggie, who better thanRajamouli to partner. Make no mistakes about it, Yamadonga, the third film together by the hit pair, has all the promise of being ablock buster to beat all blockbusters.
With a huge star cast and aninteresting script that incorporates both fantasy and hardy social awareness, Yamadonga has everything going for it.
For starters, ithas a clutch of heroines in various characters to the woo audience. Thedapper and dashing Priya Mani and the sensuous and svelte Mamta Mohandas lead the female leads. Priya Mani is on a good winning streak of late, and would like to consolidate her position. Mamta looking for a majorbreak has also put in her best.
Preeti, Navneet and Veda take care ofthe triumvirate of Ramba, Urvasi Menaka.
The big attraction wouldalso be the presence of ever charismatic Mohan Babu as Lord Yama and thepleasing Kushboo as his wife. The two veterans add lustre to theproceedings.
Added to this is the rumour that up and coming star Prabhas may have a surprise special `role' in the movie. But the makersare not opening their mouth on this.
Of course, all eyes will berivetted on NTR, looking refreshed and reinvigorated. Having lost over25 kilos, the young man has a mean look that means business. He has putin a lot of hard work to shoulder the heavy responsibility placed onhim.
NTR has done a tremendous job, and his involvement was terrific, say the husband and wife duo producers Cherry and Urmila. The couplefrom America have had a good time making the film.
Chandramouli isone director who knows how to mix the various strands that make a goodentertaining movie. He is technically very smart and his films carry avery stylish look always.
Chandramouli says it is always a delightto work with NTR as we share a wonderful understanding. NTR also reciprocates the feeling, talking at length the vibes he enjoys with hisfavourite director.
The film's other major attraction is the music ofM M Keeravani.
Again, Chandramouli shares a special rapport with the hugely talented Keervani. The songs are already out in the market, and it is a big grosser. So to talk about the songs here would besuperfluous. But suffice to say the numbers are rocking. The one by Adnam Sami is particularly pleasing. Mamta Mohandas has also showcasedher talent as a crooner.
And of course, there is also a song that NTR has lent his voice. Indeed, his commitment to the film wasall-pervading.
A remixed song from yesteryear, a graphics workre-living the magic of NTR and Soundarya will further enthuse the audience.
Senthil kumar's camera carry both style and substance andcan be expected to keep the audiences glued to their seats.
Alltold, Yamadonga carries the look of a big winner.
The film will release in August.
