Xiaomi is famous for its cheap yet feature rich smart phones. Now the company is all set to launch a crowdfunded electric bicycle that retains the aura of an Xiaomi product. The bicyle has already been launched in the Chinese market in white and ornge variants. The bicycle is named Himo and priced at Rs.17,851.

Based on an aluminuim chassis weighing only at 16.7 kg one wil be able to maneuvre the vehicle easily around traffic. The bike is also compact with the dimensions of 1080x510x1020mm. Foldable handle bars with an LCD instrument panel, LED headlight and tail lights are some features which are interesting to prospective buyers.

Himo will utilise a 6AH/36V batterycombined with 12 W brushless DC on the rear wheel. The battery will get charged in a matter of seven hours and up will be up for a riding of upto 50 kms. What more, by changing the operating board, one could also pedal the bicycle like your conventional bikes. Now, isn’t that wonderful?
