WWE honours the legend Undertaker by revealing a life-size statue of the wrestling superstar at the WrestleMania 38 Superstore Axxess yesterday. Known by the ring name 'Undertaker', he is hailed as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. He is fondly called by the fans 'The Deadman', 'The Phenom' and many more.
The statue of the Undertaker was revealed in front of the other WWE legends Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kane, Rikishi, Michelle McCool, Charles Wright and more. Undertaker told Michaels and Triple H "You know, honestly you guys don't know how much it means to me. We are a forever brotherhood, no matter what, no matter where we are, we are always a brotherhood and we always will be."
Sharing the video of Undertaker's statue reveal, WWE wrote, "@undertaker reacts to the reveal of his brand new statue! He is now forever immortalized! #WrestleMania" (sic). WWE in an official statement said, "The Deadman will stand immortal for all time." Undertaker takes his place in this year's WWE Hall of Fame.
The veteran got emotional during the induction speech ahead of the Hall of fame and revealed his original name to the fans. He said, "For the last 30 years, my identity has been ‘Undertaker.’ ‘The Phenom.’ ‘The Deadman.’ ‘The American Bad Ass.’ And ‘The Taker of Souls.’ Tonight, I’m going to take you behind the curtain, and meet the man under the black hat: Mark Calaway." The legend thanked the fans, Vince McMohan, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and his kids and wife Michelle McCool.
