Wuhan, the central Chinese city started allowing people to leave from the city for the first time in the last 76 days since a lockdown was imposed in an attempt to contain the spread of novel Coronavirus.
Even as the lockdown has ended, people are fear stricken about a second wave of infection due to the reduction in restrictions. Wuhan, which houses 11 million people was sealed by the Chinese government on January 23.
The government had taken the strong measure after it was observed that the virus had emerged at the city in 2019 and was found to be contagious. The first train to carry departing passengers out of Wuhan left at 00:50 a.m. (1650 GMT), besides, outbound highways were re-opened for vehicles.
