Sheik Dawood, the writer of Thikka, can't thank his hero and director enough. "I would like to heart fully thank Sai Dharam Tej garu and producer Rohin Reddy garu for discovering substance in a 'hatke' story. I also want to thank director Sunil Reddy garu for making the film so well", the writer says.

Dawood, who hails from Chennai, had had interest in cinema even as an adolescent. "Due to my interest in films, I went to Australia to do a course in film diploma. I later set up an ad agency and went on to make at least 50 ad films. Krishna Vamshi garu gave me the opportunity to pen the screenplay for Mogudu. I later worked in the screenplay department for Venkatadri Express and Express Raja", Dawood says about his journey so far.

He hopes that the audience will like Thikka, which is releasing on August 13.
