Samuthirakani-Pa. Ranjith's hard-hitting 'Writer' movie teaser is here

Seasoned actor Samuthirakani is so busy acting in lead and character roles in Tamil and other South Indian languages that people may forget what an accomplished filmmaker he is. Recently his performance in the direct to OTT film 'Chithirai Sevvanam' directed by Stunt Silva has been critically acclaimed.
The teaser of Samuthirkani's new movie 'Writer' has been unveiled and the little over a minute clip proves to be an absolutely intense fare with bold and hard hitting dialogues. Samuthirakani apparently plays a writer in the police department who is posted on punishment to a certain station where injustice is wreaked on an innocent. The screenplay apparently deals with the powerless lower ranked policeman taking on the powerful forces within the department.
'Writer' is produced by Pa. Ranjith and is directed by debutante Franklin Jacob with Govind Vasantha scoring the music. Ineya, Bose Venkat and Harikrishnan play other important characters. It has been announced that the film releases on December 24th. in theaters.
